The Tampa Firefighters Museum’s vision is to preserve the rich history, culture, and significance of the Tampa Fire Department by sharing real-life events, exhibits, and life safety education while ensuring our future by encouraging the next generation to pursue the fire service as a profession.

The Board of the Tampa Firefighters Museum stands tall on the shoulders of those who have come before them but the Board does not stand still.
Much work has been done to create a fire museum in Tampa, and even more work has to be done to keep the museum relevant and to help it prosper and grow. We look forward to our future leaders’ impact on the local community.

The Non-Profit
Established in 1997, The Tampa Firefighters Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that pays tribute to our firefighters, past and present, and the rich legacy they have left us.
We honor this heritage by preserving the history of the department, providing fire safety education, and emergency awareness to the local community.

More Than a Museum
Step inside and you’ll find more than exhibits—you’ll walk through living history. From antique fire engines and vintage gear to stories of bravery passed down through generations, the Museum preserves Tampa’s firefighting legacy while inspiring future heroes.
A Place for Gathering
Today, this historic firehouse has been reimagined as a full-service event venue in the heart of Downtown Tampa. Whether hosting a wedding, corporate gathering, or community celebration, guests are surrounded by the character of a century-old landmark and the echoes of stories that continue to shape our city.

There is no admission charge, but donations are greatly appreciated.
The Museum
Built in 1911, the historic structure that houses the Tampa Firefighters Museum served as the headquarters for the Tampa Fire Department until 1978 when its modern-day replacement opened across the street.
During its active service years, this building presided over the 63-year transformation from horse-drawn apparatus to diesel-powered rescue and firefighting vehicles.
